Circulus Agtech is based in Montreal Canada where all the founders studied at McGill University in different programs within the Faculty of Environmental and Agricultural Sciences. While working on a Poultryponics project for their Masters and PhD, David and Peter studied the use of chicken manure to produce liquid organic fertilizer for hydroponics. Inspired by Aquaponics, the team created the company Cannafish, to produce liquid organic fertilizer for the greenhouse industry.

Vincent Desaulniers Brousseau, is a UQAM alumni 2015 BSc in Biological sciences, UdeM alumni 2016 MSc in Molecular and Cellular Medicine,McGill alumni 2019 BSc AgEnvSc and McGill PhD candidate in Bioresource Engineering. Passionate about hydroponics, Vincent studies the use of our technology to create optimized fertilization plans. He links specific ion readings to different factors influencing plant growth, such as bacterial activity. The new generation hydroponic systems he develops could reduce negative environmental impact linked to fertilizer usage. Trained in agronomy, he tries to explain the link between organic fertilization and the synthesis of secondary compounds with beneficial properties for human health.
Ricardo Alvarez is an Information Systems and Computer Science student at McGill University. He is passionate about using data science to solve social and technical problems alike. He specifically studies machine learning and the business impact of emerging technologies. In his free time, he likes to run , read and watch soccer matches.
